Commissioned

Today in submarine history...
On this date in 1981 my old boat, the USS Jacksonville SSN 699 was comissioned.

I had a plan for a more detailed post on this subject but like most things associated with this blog, I just haven't had the time.

Maybe I'll post some pics tomorrow, on the anniversary of her collision in 1996.

Don't hold your breath though.
