What is it?


Here's one for the masses. Can you identify this picture? I'll post the correct answer in the comments after a brief amount of time.

It's a canon/artillery mount - the circle thingy is the rail it traveled on, so that it could be aimed at any point along the azimuth.

So, what do I get for being right? Cash in denominations of $10 or more is acceptable. But I'll take bragging rights.

It is a picture of a Panama mount for one of the 155mm Seacoast Defense guns of Battery 402, Fort Schwatka located on Mount Ballyhoo in Dutch Harbor, AK.
